For the past 3 weeks, I’ve been trying Tula skincare products and I love them! Tula means “balance” in Sanskrit. If you’ve have never heard of Tula that’s because it’s still a relatively new skincare line in the marketplace. What’s unique and different than the gazillion other skincare products is that it uses patented probiotic technology. I’ve been taking probiotics for years now for digestive health, and things have been running smoothly ever since, if you know what I mean! I’m a strong believer in the power of probiotics and now there is new scientific research that links how beneficial they can be for the skin as well. If you are into science, you can read about it here. The line was started by Dr. Raj, a renown gastroenterologist, who understands how beneficial probiotics are not only for our internal well-being but also for our outside appearance as well.
Tula Skincare
When the suite of products arrived, I squealed a little with delight at how gorgeous the packaging looked. I am a sucker for Tiffany’s and Carolina blue (I went to UNC so I’m biased) Here are the products I received: cleanser, serum, moisturizer and an eye cream. How fab is the Tiffany’s inspired packaging?! I like it when my products are pretty because they are often displayed on my sink.
I think most people would classify themselves as 1) hair people, 2) make-up people or 3) skincare people. I’m definitely #2. However, now that I’m in my 30′s and I’ve started to notice the first signs of aging I’m starting to get more interested in finding ways to keep my skin looking it’s best especially now that my best-friend who happens to be a Dermatologist has definitively said that she is not touching my face. So much for connections and being hooked-up! Anyway, I was excited to try Tula skincare because it was not something I had seen. The whole probiotic skincare is something very new. I mean we eat greek yogurt, take probiotics so why not put in on our largest organ, our skin?
Here is a picture after using Tula skincare for 3 weeks. I have eye make-up on and a dallop of tinted moisturizer on. Prior to using Tula Skincare I didn’t think my skin was good enough to only wear tinted moisturizer.
I have combination to dry skin during the Summer and as soon as it gets cold my skin gets very, very dry. You want to prevent dry skin at all cause because dry skin=wrinkles! Now let me break down the products:
- The cleanser is a very gentle foaming wash that removes all traces of make-up even my Marc Jacobs eyeliner, which is impossible to take-off. I’ve been using the wash both morning and night. It leaves my skin feeling clean, nourished, balanced and “plump” as in more healthy-looking.
- Then I follow with the serum. It tingles my skin when I apply it but I like the feeling because it makes me think that it’s doing something. As we age our skin becomes more dull…yay for aging! This product is magic. It made my skin look more radiant. It’s also not heavy or greasy and absorbs quickly into the skin. Tip-I always let a serum settle a couple of minutes before I put on a moisturizer.
- The Tula skincare moisturizer was also light and absorbed quickly leaving my skin well hydrated, but not greasy. Also, I just used a quarter size amount for my whole face so a little goes a long way.
- Lastly, I tried the eye cream a few times but because I don’t have crow’s feet, it wasn’t something that I felt I needed to use everyday. I probably should, as a preventative measure, but I didn’t. The few times that I did use it, I found it to be like the rest of the Tula skincare line, nourishing without being heavy.
I’m loving how my skin looks more radiant. If you have dry skin, you know what I mean. Currently you can only buy Tula Skincare at QVC. Because I’m loving my results so much I asked the company to give one of my readers the full Tula skincare regimen to experience the awesomeness of this line.
