This is a sponsored post on behalf of Sverve for TULA Skin Care. I received products & compensation for my participation; however, the product review is based on my own experience with, and opinion of, these products.

I was thrilled to take part in the #TULAForLife 30 Day Skincare Challenge. When the weather gets colder, not only do I worry about scraping the car windows or shoveling out, I worry about my hair, hands, and face – which always seems to show the signs of the cold & wind in the form of dryness. Lots of water, paired with hand cream, deep hair conditioning – can help…but my face is trickier – I need the perfect mix of products that will keep my skin hydrated, without leaving it greasy and susceptible to breakouts as a result. It also needs to soothe any redness & irritation the dryness has brought about.

TULA, which was founded by Dr. Roshini Rajapaksa (“Dr. Raj”), is the Sanskrit word for “balance”. You may have seen her on the Today Show, the View, or Dr. Oz.  When you think of a line of skincare that’s put out by a Doctor, you would probably assume they were a Dermatologist – so it might be surprising to find out that Dr. Raj is actually a Gastroenterologist & Internist!

Her TULA line of products are based on the concept that “we need to take care of our insides to look good on the outside; and that feeling beautiful on the outside can improve how we feel on the inside.” – I agree with that wholeheartedly. When we look good, we feel good.  When we feel good about ourselves – we project a glow, a beauty that you might not be able to put your finger on, but it’s there!

TULA incorporates patented Probiotic Technology.  I know we’ve all heard of probiotics in foods (yogurt, miso, sauerkraut, kefir), but it’s really been unheard of in skincare products.  That’s what sets TULA apart from any other line out there.

Recent studies have shown that the topical use of probiotics can help stimulate your skin’s protection mechanism – which cna help guard against acne & UV based damage, while improving moisture & the balance of good bacteria on the skin’s surface. The use of topical probiotics also boosts skin’s elasticity & revs up collagen production!

I was happy to receive a set of products from TULA to try out – and right off the bat, I am in love with the packaging.  The frosted blue glass jars are really beautiful.  I love that everything was well sealed, both outside & inside the jars & arrived carefully packed.

Here’s a rundown of the TULA skincare line, available exclusively on QVC

Purifying Face Cleanser – This is a super gentle foaming cleanser. Just a little dab, no bigger than a dime, is all you need. Gently massage in, rinse with lukewarm water & pat dry. It leaves skin feeling feeling fresh without stripping it. ($25)Illuminating Face Serum – This is unlike any serum I’ve used – I’m used to a very slick, clear liquid – and this serum is creamy white. The pump applicator dispensed just the right amount and it was easily soaked into my skin.  This really gives skin a nice glow & will change the way you think of a ‘serum’! ($75)Revitalizing Eye Cream – This is my absolute favorite! The glass jar gives it a little chill and I immediately see the fine lines under my eyes plump out.  It is quickly absorbed so I can put on any concealer if I’m heading out, but still remains moist throughout the day.  I would order this by the gallon if possible! ($49)

Hydrating Day and Night Cream – I use this after the serum – unless I am about to go out – then I just use the serum as I find this cream does take a little bit of time to fully absorb when paired with the serum. I love using it at night – you wake up with dewy, healthy feeling skin! I am hoping by using this cream, my skin can fight off the Winter dryness! ($49)

What you’ll find in all of these products:  Omega 3 & 6 essential fatty acids, rice proteins, fruit extracts, and Vitamins A, C & E.  You’ll also find blueberry, green tea, & yogurt extracts.

Also worth noting is what you won’t find in them:  mineral oil, phthalates, petroleum, PEG’s, gluten, or parabens.

There is a scent to the products which kind of reminds me of baby lotion. So if you have a sensitivity to fragrance in beauty products, you should be aware of that.

…and here’s an interesting sidenote:  I don’t know what ingredient it is, but one of my birds just wants to rub his beak on my face when I have the TULA products on…maybe it’s the fruit…or the yogurt….but he loves it.

While I am only just 1/3 of the way through #TulaForLife Skincare Challenge, I am noticing a change.  My eye area is especially seeing the benefits, but my skin overall is very hydrated….and with the areas that I experience dryness with feeling moisturized – and the areas (forehead/nose “T-Zone”) that usually are a little more oily, not looking or feeling greasier, you could say my skin is indeed balanced….and that’s exactly what TULA means…and does!
